Scope of Practice

The practice is focused on treatment of benign and malignant head and neck tumors, including tumors of the Oropharynx (e.g. tonsil and tongue tumors, HPV related tumors), Thyroid and Parathyroid, salivary glands, larynx and neck tumors. Dr. Rosen has been performing a large volume of thyroid/parathyroid and salivary gland surgeries for benign and malignant conditions consistently since 2003. In addition, we also treat other Ear Nose and Throat conditions such as chronic sinusitis and others. We do offer hearing tests in our office. Our office staff is friendly and accommodative, we provide a personal service, you will be seen and examined by Dr. Rosen, and if you do need surgery Dr. Rosen will perform your procedure.

For head and neck tumors minimally invasive surgical techniques are utilized to minimize damage to healthy tissues and preserve function: Trans-Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS), Endoscopic laser microsurgery for laryngeal tumors, image-guided sinus surgery, and  nerve monitoring in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Dr. Rosen is one of few head and neck surgeons in New Jersey who are trained and certified in the use of the da Vincci robot system, since 2013. When necessary, a team of specialists are involved in surgery (e.g. Plastic surgeon for free flap tissue transfer reconstruction). We acknowledge that surgery is not the sole treatment for head and neck tumors. Multi-modality approach incorporating surgery, radiation and chemotherapy is utilized when indicated. Adjuvant post-operative treatment is arranged and coordinated when needed with specialists at the patient convenience in his living area. Dr. Rosen stays current with scientific and technological developments in the field.
